Floral Friday ~ Calycina
THRYPTOMENE
Calycina heather is FINALLY in season! Who else is super excited? Tiny star-shaped flowers line branchy stems and make an excellent choice for a textural accent flower.
We have always called it calycina, but some of you may know it as thryptomene or grampians heath myrtle. It is a member of the Myrtaceae family and can be found growing wild on the rocky mountainside of Australia. Calycina is in season now through early fall in white and pink.
